Motorola has (at least) three more Edge 70 phones in the pipeline

If you’re a hardcore fan of the fast-growing smartphone brand, you may have noticed that things have been relatively quiet on the Motorola product launch front of late, with the Edge 70 Fusion and Edge 70 Fusion+ mid-rangers being the only handsets unveiled over the last couple of months.

That’s a bit unusual for a company that normally likes to flood the market with dozens of budget-friendly options with respectable specs and often confusing names (especially in the first few months of any given year), but fret not, as this spring’s flood will undoubtedly happen… sooner or later.

The Edge 70 family will include no less than seven members

You know how some people think Samsung should reduce the number of its yearly Galaxy S-series releases from three to two in order to avoid cannibalization and get rid of the unpopular Plus model? I’d be very curious to know the same people’s view of the Motorola Edge 70 lineup, which will apparently consist of the following devices:
  • Edge 70 Ultra/Signature;
  • Edge 70 Pro Plus;
  • Edge 70 Pro;
  • Edge 70 Pro Lite;
  • Edge 70 Fusion Plus;
  • Edge 70 Fusion;
  • Edge 70.
Technically, of course, the Motorola Signature is not part of the Edge 70 family (at least in name). But that still leaves six very similar phones, of which three have already been released, with another three expected out in the coming weeks in select European and Asian markets.

Of the three existing models, the “regular” Edge 70 probably received the most amount of global attention back in October 2025… before its extravagant price tag was announced, while the Edge 70 Fusion+ almost went totally unnoticed last month due to its far too many similarities with the non-Plus Edge 70 Fusion.

What do we know about the three upcoming Edge 70-series devices?

Well, we know their Terrain, Terrain+, and Terrain Lite codenames, which obviously belong to Edge 70 Pro, Edge 70 Pro+, and Edge 70 Pro Lite models, respectively, and their official government names make their relations pretty clear.

Naturally, the awkwardly named Edge 70 Pro Plus is set to be the most advanced member of the trio, with the Edge 70 Pro Lite, of course, targeting the lowest price point of the bunch and the non-Plus and non-Lite-branded Edge 70 Pro presumably looking to strike the best balance between power and affordability.

It’s also safe to assume that the Edge 70 Pro and Edge 70 Pro+ will come with better specs than the non-Pro-branded Edge 70, which makes me pretty nervous about the two’s price tags. Of course, the Edge 70 is so expensive because of its super-slim design, and I really don’t think the Edge 70 Pro and Edge 70 Pro Plus will measure anywhere close to 6 mm in thickness.

Could there be even more Edge phones in the works?

Even though Evan Blass explicitly calls the above list Motorola’s “full” Edge lineup “this cycle”, I wouldn’t rule out the company planning to release a few additional models here and there to follow in the footsteps of last year’s Edge 60s, Edge 60 Neo, or Edge 60 Stylus.

More importantly, the US-specific Motorola Edge (2025) is very clearly due for an upgrade as well, and if history is any indication, the Motorola Edge (2026) could borrow features and design elements from both the Edge 70 and Edge 70 Pro without completely copying either “international” model.
The mid-range Edge (2026) is likely to be joined by the Razr (2026), Razr Plus (2026), and Razr Ultra (2026) equivalents of the Razr 70, Razr 70 Plus, and Razr 70 Ultra, respectively, in the US, and while I don’t have any launch dates to share with you just yet, I believe your wait is nearly finished. Who’s excited?
